Aveeno and the Sun
I live in the great state of Florida where the sun is always shining throughout the year. I know I don't have to tell you about the importance of keeping your skin protected while outside. Our bodies, skin included is extremely precious and we only get one so we must do whatever is necessary to protect it from harm. I think it's extremely important to always wear sunscreen even on those overcast days. I check the daily UV report and often times avoid going outside when it's very high as much as possible. Always, ALWAYS wear sunscreen folks.
I have tried many MANY different brands and varieties of sunscreen over the years and never ever used the same one more than once. I'm constantly looking for something better because of various reasons. I can't stand to have to stop what I'm doing every half hour to reapply sunscreen! I have used lots of sunscreens that burn my eyes the second I start to sweat. Don't even get me started on the sunscreens that wash off in water... I have had many sunburns because I THOUGHT the sunscreen was waterproof And end up with dried out skin.
I was given the opportunity to try out some of Aveenos products through Crowdtap and received a sample of Aveeno Protect+Hydrate sunscreen and Aveeno daily moisturizing lotion for free. I was ecstatic because I have read a lot of good things about Aveeno products and if you aren't aware, Aveeno Daily Moisturizing Lotion, the Aveeno Protect+Hydrate sunscreen, along with many other Aveeno products are dermatologist recommend so I can feel good about using the products. The Aveeno Protect+Hydrate sunscreen lotion is from the Active Naturals line and is made with nourishing Oat so not only will it keep me protected from the UVA/UVB rays, it hydrates my skin helping to reverse skin dehydration. Aveeno Protect+hydrate also is sweat and water resistant for up to 80 minutes, hallelujah! I spend a lot of time outside doing gardening or fishing and I have not once had an issue with burning eyes due to the sweat/sunscreen, totally fantastic, right?! I apply my Aveeno Protect+Hydrate 15 minutes prior to going outside and reapplying when necessary with absolutely no sunburn! I am honestly so glad that I was able to try it before buying it because it gets really expensive buying products that only end up sitting somewhere due to not getting what I needed out of them. I finally have a sunscreen that works for me.. Sun protection,, sweat/waterproof, hydrates my skin, and doesn't smell strongly like others. My skin has never looked so good since using the Aveeno Protect+Hydrate sunscreen while outside and the Aveeno Daily Moisturizing Lotion after a long day outside. I'm confident that I am doing the best I can for my skin by using Aveeno.
