Poise SAM and Light Bladder Leakage

I can remember being a young girl giggling at times when I overheard my mother talking to my dad about him making her laugh so hard she tinkled in her pants. Never in a million years did I think that I would be tinkling in my pants just like my mother did. I didn't realize then just how ashamed and embarrassed by it my mother was until the very moment that I had my first pants tinkling. I was young, probably late 20s the first time that I had my first episode. I had already had 4 kids and was very consumed in taking care of them so I blamed it on that. I said nothing to no one but couldn't stop thinking about it. A year later and many more accidents I started thinking of ways to prevent it by not drinking certain things and reminding myself to go to the bathroom more often. A year turned into another year and ten years later I still had the same problem. I never once thought about saying a word to anyone much less my Dr. I continued on dealing with it being very ashamed and embarrassed at myself.
Light Bladder Leakage, LBL, I recently discovered, is far more common than I thought. One in three women deal with LBL and it doesn't just happen to women, men too experience LBL. Staying hydrated believe it or not, helps with LBL and avoiding drinks with caffeine is a must. Those Kegel exercises that we know all about in preparing for childbirth are also good for strengthening the pelvic floor muscles to fight the leakage. There are many different reasons for having LBL and I started looking into what was causing mine so I decided to talk to my Dr. For me my triggers are coffee, stress, and certain foods. I don't avoid them I just work around it in various ways. I also make sure that I use the bathroom as much as possible and I always ALWAYS have my Poise Microliners. If I know I'm going to be in a situation where I may experience a tinkling I make sure to wear a Poise Liner.
Poise protection comes in many different sizes depending on your needs from Ultimate all the way to the Microliners which are what I use. Poise products are made with super absorbent material, SAM, so they instantly absorb my tinkles, neutralize odor, and they keep dry three times more than period only type liners. I'm always protected as long as I have my Poise.
After being in the Ladies With Poise with Crowdtap, I began to learn so much about LBL so I can honestly say that I'm not ashamed of it anymore. I feel as though I can help others who are secret tinklers by talking about it to them by making silly jokes to lighten the mood because it really shouldn't be anything to be ashamed or embarrassed by knowing how common it is. I feel that it's a way of taking control of my LBL by being open and honest about it. I received some samples from Poise and Crowdtap and took to my neighbor friends to discuss LBL and I had one who laughed so hard at me saying she doesn't need it and another who was impressed wanting to hear more. As we talked about it she told me that she too is a tinkler and is embarrassed by it. I promised her I would keep her secret but encouraged her to embrace it and look further into it and all her triggers. She agreed and was very appreciative of my help. I feel good knowing that I may have helped someone. There's NO NEED TO FEEL ASHAMED AND EMBARRASSED ladies! Embrace it and enjoy life! You don't have to suffer, not as long as you have a good support system, knowing what causes your LBL, and most importantly, as long as you have POISE! Poise and SAM will ALWAYS have your back. I am thankful for Poise, they have truly given me my confidence back. I am no longer ashamed and embarrassed of my LBL. I talk about it and hopefully help others.
Thanks again Poise and Crowdtap!
